Article 7 - Duties of Officers
Section 1 - The President shall be the presiding officer at all meetings of the Association whenever practicable. He shall appoint all committees unless otherwise directed by the body. He shall perform such other duties as pertain to the office of the President.
Section 2 - The senior Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President.
Section 3 - The Secretary shall keep a correct and complete record of the activities of the Association, and shall deliver same to his successor. He shall be responsible for all correspondence. If unable to attend a meeting of the Association, for any cause, he shall send his records, sufficiently in advance, so they may be read at each meeting. All funds received by the Secretary shall be turned over to the Treasurer for deposit.
Section 4 - The Treasurer shall receive all monies of the Association and pay all bills approved by the Executive Committee. He shall keep correct records of the business and finances, submitting a report at each regular meeting. He is authorized to pay emergency bills not exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25.00) in advance of authorization by the Executive Committee.
When funds exceed five hundreds dollars ($500.00), he shall be required to furnish bond, the cost to be paid by the Association.
The Treasurer is responsible for sending notices of all scheduled meetings when so notified, and shall be responsible for all monies received from members.
Section 5- The Public Relations Officer shall be responsible for promoting the good will of the association. The Public Relations Officer shall attend with the President, the planning meetings of the joint Equipment Show with the Chiefs and Vendors Associations.
